Mamaw’s Delicious Old-Fashioned Chocolate Fudge

A fudge recipe that takes a little bit more effort, but will definitely be worth your while! My mamaw used to make this and it has been a family tradition since then.  Christmas never passes without mom making this wonderful fudge.  You will also want to try out my Pinto Bean Fudge.  You won’t believe it’s made with pinto beans.

Old-Fashioned Chocolate Fudge Ingredients

4 cups sugar
14 1/2 ounce can evaporated milk
1 cup butter
Mix and heat these over a medium heat to soft ball stage (230°) stirring often.
Remove from heat and stir in:
1 package (12oz) semi sweet chocolate chips. and stir till almost melted
Then add 7 ounces marshmallow cream and stir to combine.
Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1 cup chopped walnuts.
Beat till chocolate completely melts
Pour into a buttered 13×9 baking dish.
Score while still warm and then cut when firm.
