PECAN BUTTERSCOTCH CHIP COOKIES

I decided to try one my my grandmas cookie recipes today, but change it up a little.  I love grandma Jeans oatmeal cookies and her butterscotch cookies.  So I decided to combine the two.  But instead of just oatmeal, I wanted to try using some of those breakfast oatmeal packets.  I chose the brown sugar-maple.  I also added some pecans to the mix.

They turned out great.  So sweet and with just a hint of maple taste too.  Y’all definitely have to give them a try.

3/4 c. Crisco
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. butterscotch chips
2 packets of  sugar/maple oatmeal (what you make for breakfast)
1 c. chopped pecans

Cream Crisco, white and brown sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl. Blend in egg. Combine flour, salt and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture gradually. Add oatmeal packets. Stir in butterscotch chips and pecans. Drop rounded tablespoonsful of dough on ungreased baking sheet.

Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes for chewy cookies.
