Cajun Cabbage and Ground Beef

Ingredients:
1 medium head of cabbage cut into 1″ squares
1 to 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 green pepper diced
1 red pepper diced
1 onion diced
1 6 oz can tomato sauce
1 14 oz can fire roasted tomatoes
1-2 tablespoons Cajon seasoning
1 teaspoon or more garlic powder

Brown the ground beef in a large skillet and drain fat.
Add the cabbage, peppers and onions and mix well.
Pour the tomatoes and tomato sauce over the top and mix well.
Add spices and stir to combine.
Cover with tight fitting lid over medium heat and cook till cabbage is at desired tenderness.
Remember to stir occasionally to mix. You may need to add a bit of water now and then to help steam cabbage to cook quicker.
