Chloie’s Fruit Popsicles

Tonight’s dessert after our barbeque is brought to you by my granddaughter Chloie.  She is spending her 9th birthday weekend with us.  She has grown up so quick.  It seems like just yesterday I was holding a baby, and now my princess is cooking with me.

She said she wanted us to have something healthy to eat for dessert.  So we decided to do a frozen fruit treat.  She saw the popsicle molds while we were shopping and the idea was born.  Now I had seen these on Pinterest before so we looked them up and she was determined to make them.  After about 20 minutes walking around the produce section trying to decide, she ended up with peaches, kiwi, strawberries and blue berries.  Not a bad selection at all by my little princess.  She started to pick a peach juice as the liquid but ended up with white grape.

Y’all these are so refreshing and tasty.  Not to mention, a lot healthier than most other desserts.  I am so proud of my granddaughter, now if I can just get her off Pinterest.  She has come up with 10 more things she wants to make.  I have created a Foodie Monster.2013-05-26 10.58.30

Ingredients:

  • Popsicle molds (you can use dixie cups as well)
  • 1 kiwi
  • 1 peach (we cheated & used canned this time)
  • 10 strawberries
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • grape juice (enough to fill molds)

feel free to mix and match other fruits and juices.  Find just the mixture your family will love.

Slice your kiwi, strawberries and peach.

Now fill all the molds full of fruit.

Fill to top with juice and freeze for at least 4 hours.  Let sit on counter for 5 minutes to loosen frozen popsicles or run under hot water for a few minutes to loosen.
