Ingredients:
3/4 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
3 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ginger
2 cups pumpkin (15 oz. cans)
nuts

Mix all the ingredients well.
Drop by spoonful on greased cookie sheet
Bake 10 minutes at 400°F degrees
Place on racks to cool

ICING:
10 tablespoons brown sugar
4 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons milk
Mix in medium sized pan to boiling.
Remove from heat.
Add 1 teaspoon vanilla
add about 1 lb. powdered sugar to stiffen.
Cover cooled cookies with icing, let icing set before storing.
