Here’s a twist on a baked spaghetti or spaghetti pie. It’s moms Pepperoni and Ground Beef Baked Spaghetti Casserole. It’s a bit of a combination of a spaghetti dinner with a touch of pizza. It has become a family favorite of ours and I am sure it will for you as well.
- 1 jar pizza sauce
- 1 large jar spaghetti sauce (26ounces)
- 1 pound ground beef browned/drained
- 1 small can mushrooms
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
- 8 ounces spaghetti – cooked per directions
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 package pepperoni slices
- 1 tablespoon oregano
- In a small bowl combine the eggs 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese and milk. Mix well.
- In a large bowl combine the pizza and spaghetti sauce along with the ground beef and mushrooms.
- Put about 1/3 the meat sauce in bottom of 9×13 prepared baking dish
- Now pour the egg mixture into the remaining sauce and mix well.
- Put half the cooked spaghetti over the meat sauce in the 9×13 pan.
- Spread half remaining cheese over top.
- Add 1/2 of remaining sauce mixture and spread out.
- Cover with remaining spaghetti, top with remaining sauce.
- Spread the remaining cheese over the top and then evenly space the pepperoni.
- Sprinkle with oregano and then bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 40 minutes.
The pepperoni & ground beef spagetti was delicious. My whole family loved it. It’s a keeper!
