Amish Ham Loaf

Mom went back into some of her old recipe books for this one. It is her recipe for an Amish Ham Loaf. This is so easy to throw together and is such a great dish for leftover sandwiches. The flavors are amazing and I just know you are going to love this recipe. Let me know what you think about this version and y’all enjoy.

 

Ingredients:
1 pound fresh ground pork
1 pound ground cured ham
1 cup bread crumbs
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
3/4 cup milk

Mix the pork and ham with the bread crumbs, egg , salt/pepper and milk.
Shape into a loaf and place in the roasting pan
Dust lightly with flour.
Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for one hour

While this is baking combine the following in a sauce pan:
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup vinegar
Bring these to a boil, then after the loaf has baked for 1 hour pour over the top of loaf.
Return to oven and bake an additional 30 minutes.
