Pepperoni & Ground Beef Baked Spaghetti

Here’s a twist on a baked spaghetti or spaghetti pie.  It’s moms Pepperoni and Ground Beef Baked Spaghetti Casserole.  It’s a bit of a combination of a spaghetti dinner with a touch of pizza.  It has become a family favorite of ours and I am sure it will for you as well.

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 jar pizza sauce
  • 1 large jar spaghetti sauce (26ounces)
  • 1 pound ground beef browned/drained
  • 1 small can mushrooms
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 8 ounces spaghetti – cooked per directions
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 package pepperoni slices
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  1. In a small bowl combine the eggs 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese and milk.  Mix well.
  2. In a large bowl combine the pizza and spaghetti sauce along with the ground beef and mushrooms.
  3. Put about 1/3 the meat sauce in bottom of 9×13 prepared baking dish
  4. Now pour the egg mixture into the remaining sauce and mix well.
  5. Put half the cooked spaghetti over the meat sauce in the 9×13 pan.
  6. Spread half remaining cheese over top.
  7. Add 1/2 of remaining sauce mixture and spread out.
  8. Cover with remaining spaghetti, top with remaining sauce.
  9. Spread the remaining cheese over the top and then evenly space the pepperoni.
  10. Sprinkle with oregano and then bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 40 minutes.
