Ya’ll are familiar with my Hasselback Potatoes recipe already I’m sure. Well I tweaked it just a bit for my new air fryer. I actually think they came out crisper and a bit tastier than making them in the oven. Hope you all enjoy this one too.
- 4 large potatoes (make sure they fit in air fryer or do 2 batches)
- 4 tbsp butter, cut into thin slices
- 2 tbsp olive oi
- 3-4 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced
- salt
Peel the potatoes if desired or leave skin on. If large potatoes are used then cut in half. Cut slits down the potatoes about 1/4-1/2 inch apart and 1/2 inch from the base.
Preheat your air fryer to 350°F
Brush the potatoes gently with just a light bit of olive oil then cook them in the air fryer for 15 minutes.
Open air fryer and brush again with the oil, put the small slices of butter into the slices along with the garlic, sprinkle with salt and then continue to cook for another 15 minutes or until the potatoes are cooked through.
Remove from air fryer and allow to cool for 3-5 minutes. Season as you wish (maybe some sour cream or bacon?) and serve.
Have you tried inserting thin slices of cheese the last few minutes of cooking?
