This is one of my newest recipes for my Air Fryer. I can’t help but falling more and more in love with it. From the taste of the food to the super easy clean up, how could I not? As most of you know, I love salmon and have many recipes here on my site for it. You’ll notice though that this one isn’t coated in molasses or brown sugar or even bourbon (I know…how could I not) but I am increasing my healthier meals and am finding out that I am not having to sacrifice any taste.
So I made this one simple and yet delicious. Y’all are going to flip out over how easy this recipe actually is. So here we go.
Ingredients
- Salmon (you can decide how big a piece you want)
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Preparation
-
- Mix your 3 spices (of course you can utilize whatever spices you might like on your salmon) and sprinkle/coat the salmon
- Place in the Air Fryer basket with the skin sidedown touching the tray
- Set up the Air Fryer to 10 minutes at 400ºF. 8 minutes if you like it slightly less cooked or 12 minutes if you like it more done.
- Enjoy!
I’m new to the air fryer.
What do you do to keep the skin from sticking to the basket?
the basket is NON stick. when i cook mine, the skin remains in the basket (easily washes off) and the salmon nicely lifts from it. i have followed this recipe a few times. got my air fryer as a christmas gift and love it.
What basket? The naturall bottom?
I have skinless salmon…should I lay foil down before putting salmon in the basket?!
OMG — thumbs up. Great recipe. Thanks.
Love this salmon recipe. Thank you so much!!!
Belinda, I thank you so much. I hope you and your family enjoy it as much as I do.
Making this tonight
I JUST GOT MY AIR FRYER AND WAS WANTING TO KNOW IF I CAN MAKE ATLANTIC SALMON WITH SEAFOOD STUFFING IN IT.THE INSTRUCTIONS STATE TO COOK IN OVEN AT 350 FOR 20 MINUTES. SO JUST CHECKING TO SEE IF I CAN COOK IT IN THE AIR FRYER.
THANK YOU
CONNIE C
Connie – you should be ok with that, with a slight increase in cooking time. Experiment with it first.
First thing to do is buy wild alaska salmon. Atlantic salmon in almost 100% farm raised and loaded with mercury.
I was given your address as I just bought my air fryer and have no knowledge as to cooking, sirloin steaks salmon and chicken, any help would be appreciated
just bought air fryer, how to cook, salmon, steak and chicken, no knowledge
Start out with small things like fries and such. Utilize it like you would a normal oven. There are many recipes on Pinterest and my site too. You’re going to fall in love with it.
I’m New too. But I have made chicken kievs and even breaded them. I froze them after I breaded them and the breading stayed on and spread them with olive oil before cooking. Cooked for about 20 to 25 min @ 375. Turned them halfway thru. I make homemade herb butter and on the turn, I put a little on top. It came out great. I used the same butter inside with mushroom and more herbs, but you can put what you want in it. We also made the salmon but we spayed with olive oil and dry breaded it with herbed fish breading spread it again. again all the breading stayed on. I spray the basket with olive oil because we like the skin I then turn it halfway thru. Loved the way it turned out. We have done shrimp and white fish. Can’t wait to try more. less clean up and it’s easy to clean. Less cooking time and less energy used. You’re not warming a big oven or a fryer.
Exactly why I love my airfryer too.
What can we put under the salmon if we want something below. I have always just placed in the basket. Trying to see if parchment paper or tin foil can go in it when cooking.
I usually either spray the airfryer well with Pam or I use parchment paper.
my neighbors gave me an air fryer for Christmas and I have not used my oven for anything since then. I love it and thank them once a week for such a fabulous gift. Experiment it’s fun.
Glad you discovered air frying…..
Can you cook frozen salmon in the air fryer or do you need to thaw!
I was wondering about cooking frozen salmon as well. Can that be done?
Farm salmon is not loaded with mercury
It tests the same as wild, just less omegas
Thank you for the information and for following my webpage…have a great day.
This looks great! Have you ever added a little bit of sugar to your spice rub? It helps with browning and creates a great flavor. Thanks for sharing this recipe!
I’ll have to give that a try..thanks for the tip
