Adapted from the Deen Brothers Cookbook: Recipes from the Road
1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons mango juice
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon liquid smoke
1 tablespoon spicy mustard
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 tablespoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon onion salt
Mix of chicken pieces
Preheat grill to 350 degrees.
Mix everything but chicken together in a bowl. Brush chicken pieces with sauce.
Grill indirect (on gas grill, turn off gas on one side to grill the chicken) for 40-50 minutes until chicken is cooked through. Every 10-15 minutes, brush chicken with the BBQ sauce.
If you like a bit of a crisp to your chicken, after it is fully cooked, grill direct for 5 minutes each side.
