Mom’s Broccoli Salad

Y’all mom is sharing with us a totally amazing and easy to put together broccoli salad. The different flavors and textures are outstanding in this side dish that can be an entrée by simply adding a sautéed or roasted chicken breast. Let me know what you think about her version and y’all enjoy.

 Ingredients:

  • Large bag of pre-shredded cabbage/carrots (or 1 small cabbage and 2 carrots shredded)
  • 1 pack Ramen® noodles (crushed)
  • 2-3 cups broccoli florets
  • 4 ounces sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup slivered almonds
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • Ramen® season packet
  1. In large bowl combine the cabbage/carrots, crushed Ramen® noodles, broccoli, sunflower seeds and almonds.
  2. In separate smaller bowl combine remaining ingredients and whisk together.
  3. Pour wet mixture over the cabbage mixture and combine well
  4. Refrigerate at least 2-3 hours, better overnight.
