Breakfast Apple Cobbler

Y’all this was one of my favorite breakfasts growing up.  Mom made this in an old fashioned, well it was new then, crockpots.  She made it in a coffee can and then put it down in the crockpot surrounded by water.  Below is the original recipe.  I think y’all are going to like this for breakfast, brunch or a after meal dessert.


Ingredients:

  • 8 medium tart apples
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Dash of cinnamon
  • juice of one lemon
  • 3/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 cups natural cereal mix
  1. Core, peel and dice apples and place in slow cooker
  2. Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly.
  3. Cook on High 3 hours or Low 7-9 hours.
