Spinach Artichoke Dip

I love to have a hot appetizer for everyone to dip into while I am finishing the last minute cooking of my holiday meals.  That keeps them out of the pies and pudding.  This is one of my new favorites.  I made it a few weeks ago for a family event and it went over so well, I decided to add it to my go to recipes.  I think y’all will enjoy it.  I like it spicy but you can of course leave out the hot sauce and pepper flakes.

Ingredients:
  • 2 strips of bacon
  • 1 (14 ounce) can artichoke hearts, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed, water squeezed out
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
Preparation:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F

Fry bacon crisp and crumble in bowl and set aside.

Mix all ingredients together in a food processor and pulse just to bring together.  Transfer to a small baking dish, sprinkle top with bacon.  Cover with lid, or foil, and bake for 25 minutes.

Grab some chips or bread and enjoy.
