4-6 cups broccoli florets
1 tablespoon oil
2 tablespoon corn starch
1/4 cup water
1 lb. ground beef – browned
3 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 cup beef broth
1 teaspoon ginger
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 large green pepper diced
1 onion sliced in small half moons
3 cloved garlic minced
Add the oil to a medium size pan and heat over low heat.
Put broccoli in the pan and toss around. Cover and let heat for a few minutes over low heat.
Put cornstarch in water, mix and set aside.
Toss the broccoli around a bit so it doesn’t burn.
In medium bowl mix the honey, brown sugar, beef broth ginger and soy sauce, set aside.
Add the onion and pepper to the browned ground beef and cook over medium heat till softened.
Add garlic and cook an additional 2 minutes.
Add the sauce to the beef/onion mixture and stir to combine.
Add a bit of the cornstarch mixture at a time and cook for a minute or so to thicken. Add till you get the thickness you like. I used about 2 tablespoons.
Add the broccoli to the pan and stir to combine. Cook about a minute.
Sprinkle with green onions if you like
