Swiss Turkey or Chicken Casserole

So what do you do with all that left over turkey after Thanksgiving?  Here is a great recipe that mom shared with us.  You can also make this with chicken.  Mom did substitute the swiss cheese for cheddar in hers.  So change this one up however your family may like it.

 

Ingredients:
4 cups chopped/cooked chicken or turkey
2 cups diced celery
1 tablespoon oregano
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon chicken seasoning ( https://amzn.to/3cQ0Mf1 )
2 cups shredded swiss or cheddar cheese
1 can cream of mushroom soup or cream of chicken
1/4 cup chopped walnuts

Mix together all ingredients except the nuts.
Spoon into a 2 quart casserole dish. Sprinkle nuts over the top
Bake for 40 minutes in a preheated 350°F oven.
