Sometimes you crave a sweet snack and some times a tart snack. Well let me introduce you to a refreshing snack that combines both. The tartness from the cranberries and the sweet sugar they are coated in.
This will be a great recipe to add to your Christmas collection. It also is not only quick to make, but has very few ingredients. Your family and friends are going to love this one. I hope you do to. Let me know what y’all think.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup water
- 3-4 cups fresh cranberries
Directions
- Place water and 1 cup of the sugar in a sauce pan and bring to boil to melt sugar. Boil for an additional 10 minutes to thicken.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool.
- While your simple syrup cools line a baking sheet with tin foil and place a cooling rack over it.
- After syrup cools for about 15 minutes work in batches and and toss the cranberries in the syrup mixture and place on cooling rack.
- Allow cranberries to dry for 15-20 minutes to let syrup set somewhat on cranberries.
- Place remaining sugar in large flat bowl and toss/roll the cranberries to coat.
- Place back on cooling rack and let sit for 5-10 minutes.
- ENJOY.
